Years ago, I set my own dreams in motion when I drove my beat-up old Honda Accord across the country to Hollywood to become an actress. After facing TONS of rejection, I learned the tools that would ultimately land me the starring role of Lucy Cooper Spaulding on Guiding Light - one of the most popular TV shows of all time.
After 5 years on the show, I decided to leave the show and see what else was out there for me. I’d done it once before, right? But this time, I carried with me the nagging belief that I was never going to work again. I was so sure I would lose everything. Guess what? I lost everything: my money, my relationships, and my health.
Then one afternoon, while turtle-sitting for cash, (yeah, it felt pathetic), I was sitting on a bluff looking out at the Pacific Ocean. It was a beautiful day, the breeze was blowing, the water sparkling – and thought: I've created this life that I don't want.
In that moment, I realized I had caused this. I used the same tools to create my success as I had to create my failure.
I knew I needed to change things - fast. So I started visualizing, saying positive affirmations and asking powerful questions. And this time, I paired them with exercise.
My favorite running path in Santa Monica led to a bridge, and I began calling it the Bridge of Success. (Seriously.) I loved how anything I yelled into the canyon would echo back – so I started to yell out things I wanted to hear, like “You got the job!” And then I'd celebrate—I'd pump my fist, jump up and down, really connect with that emotion. I did that every single day. I also set new goals, changed my self-talk, and I visualized myself succeeding instead of failing.
One day, running back down from the Bridge of Success, I got a phone call. "You got the job!" my agent said. "You're going to play Psycho Nurse Barbara on One Life to Live." It was exactly like I'd envisioned it.
Since then, I've become an expert on the mind-body connection. Later, I founded my award-willing wellness company Moticise™, which gives you the tools to set your life in motion. I've gotten certified as a life coach, holistic health coach, hypnotist, and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner. I've presented at UPenn's School of Positive Psychology, Aquinas College, Cisco, the Entrepreneurs' Organization Global Conference, the Grace Institute, and dozens of other high-profile companies. I've been featured in the Huffington Post, Reader's Digest, The Examiner, Women Fitness, Celeb Dirty Laundry, and on Fox and CBS. I’ve guest-starred in Emmy-nominated series like Then Men Who Built America and American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story. I've traveled the world helping people harness the incredible power of their bodies and minds to reach their goals… and now, I want to help you.
"What you seek, is seeking you," wrote the mystic poet Rumi a thousand years ago. I believe that's still true today. Those things you want so badly? You are meant for them.
MY MISSION IS TO GET YOU THERE.
Why? Not only because you deserve it (you do). But because the universe needs what you have to give. The world needs that special spark that only you have. It’s just begging you to take that first step toward what you want. Because when you do, you set in motion a whole chain of events that you could never have imagined. You begin to manifest things beyond your wildest dreams. You start off on a wild journey that will blow your mind. It’s going to be so much fun.
And yes, I mean YOU. You're gonna light up the world.
Let's get started!
That first moment when you decide. I’ve had it. I will get unstuck! That’s when the change begins. That’s when your dreams become reality. Let’s talk about it.
